A Halloween puppet wooden spoon craft is fun for kids to make in preschool or kindergarten. Instructions are included for a ghost and a witch using everyday craft supplies.

Wooden spoon puppets craft

1. Ghost puppet
Materials list
- white fabric
- white chenille stem or pipe cleaner
- black felt
- glue
- pinking shears
- wooden spoon

1. Cut a 20 inch (51 cm) square from white fabric with pinking shears.
2. Drape the cloth over the wooden spoon.
3. Wrap a chenille stem around the wooden spoon and twist to secure. Shape the ends to form arms.
4. Cut out two oval-shaped eyes and a mouth (optional) from felt and glue to the face.
If you don’t want the ghost to have arms you can trim the ends of the chenille stem or place them at the back of the puppet.
2. Witch puppet

Materials list
- black fabric
- orange chenille stem
- craft eyes
- pinking shears
- wooden spoon

1. Cut a 20 inch (51 cm) square from black fabric.
2. Cut around the perimeter of the square with pinking shears to form a jagged edge.
3. Snip a small hole in the middle to insert the handle of the spoon.

4. Wrap a chenille stem around the spoon and twist at the back to secure. Shape the ends of the chenille stem to form arms.
5. Cut a triangle from the fabric for a hat.
6. Cut a few narrow strips of fabric for hair .
7. Glue the hair, hat and craft eyes by to the head.

Your puppets are ready for a puppet show. Let the show begin!
