Kids have fun dressing up as ghosts, witches and other silly or spooky characters on Halloween night. Role playing a traditional or story-book character is part of the Halloween fun.
Puppets can be as effective as costumes for promoting pretend play. The options for homemade puppets are as varied as hand puppets made from pieces of craft foam and string puppets made from burlap.
Kids will love creating their own unique characters like these simple wooden spoon puppets. You can even make a puppet theater for their pretend play!
